Hello there and good morning!
It was recently suggested that I should do a
tutorial on my lace gift box found here.
It is super easy and simple.
The punches actually do all the work!
Today I am going to apply the paper lace to
handmade frames that can by used many ways.
Here we go!
First I started off by drawing out different shaped frames and
then cut them out. Using a cutting system would make this
even faster if desired.
Here I have the two punches that I used to create the lace along
with embellishments for later.
For the first frame I created lace along with a back drop to
go behind the lace.
Adhere both to the frame like so.
Here are all three frames with lace adhered.
I didn't create a back drop for all of them.
It is totally up to what is prefered.
I like a little mix!
After lace is all dry I then embellished.
This is the super fun part because of how gorgeous these elements are.
I kept it simple with just a few pieces but still loved the way they turned out.
Now there is a complete set of pretty frames!
I pictured using them on cards or layouts first but
could be used also for altered projects.
Thank you so much for allowing me to share and
I do hope that you will create some frames of your very own!
Supply List:
Your lacy frames are lovely Candice!!!
The punches you have used are beautiful and your tutorial FABULOUS, of course it helps that you used DELIGHTFUL papers, decoupage & die cut elements too!!!
I don't have any deep lacy punches, but I can create strips of lacy "ribbon" and layer them together instead ... YES, I'm thinking this would make a lovely feature on some cards that I need to make :)
THANK YOU for sharing this technique and inspiration!!!
