Hello!
When I started planning this tutorial I was totally out of ideas in my mind! Really! I was thinking about it over and over again... And then i saw this wonderful bow on the Internet as a party decoration accent - this was it! I thought it would be nice to provide the png files so You could cut it or develop on Your own.
And then I found that bows became more and more popular in our scrapbooking world. First I saw so many beautiful projects in Jot. magazine! Aggggh! And then I found a few cute bow themed cards in the SC Gallery... I realized that this is a newest trend, so my tutorial won't be anything super new for You Guys (I am jealous that I wasn't clever enough to be the first bringing it!) So here I am: Sharing my bow - tutorial with those of You, who still don't know how to do it :) piece of cake, believe me!
What I'm adding here (i hope it's new) are my .png shapes to cut out and create the perfect little bow! I hope You will be able to go further and experiment with your own bow-shapes. And I hope You will enjoy the tutorial!
Sooooo Let's start!
3. Some of my bow shapes have this [strange] strip going down from the middle. This strip is there to assist you when glueing/tying your bow [don't forget to add a bit of glue].
4. Now, you have your bow - it is probably a bit flat so what You need to do to add a little 3d effect here- place the pen inside the two bow wings to create a rounded bow! When it's done You can simply add a pearl on top! Tadaa!
I hope You like the effect!
You can add Your bows anywhere on your project - I think it works perfect for elegant projects and also for messy ones (my fave)! (pictures 5-8)
Don't forget to share Your projects with us!
xx,
beautiful job, Mira! Thank you!
