As you all know this month we are creating lots of beautiful and special cards, layouts, gifts etc all with our theme LOVE. This is always easy for me as I love lots in life and life itself. But I do love putting together layouts of my hubby and I. He is my best mate and we have a pretty special friendship. So I have used the scrumpitous Cook Collection and a bit of Reminisce which is very soft and feminine.
I love the simple technique of sewing ribbon to give it this folded effect. Just make sure you have a pointy sharp tool handy that you can easily fold the ribbon over when sewing.
I have also added some of that delicious yellow paint in on the negative space. I added a few drops on the paper and then gently blew through a straw on the drop to mess it up a bit.
I have used the Cuttlebug here to create this sweet cluster of flowers. The papers compliement each other when put together like this. I have turned up the edges of the petals by using the end of a thin paint brush then inked the edges up for the vintage look. Oh and I put the petals through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Make sure pop on over to our RRBF website and check out all the ranges you can create this layout with. There are many funky and beautiful papers to use.
Have a fab weekend... Im only one day away from mine LOL (Australia)
