With Mother's Day coming up, you can look forward to lots of inspiration on our blog this month. To kick us off, Sandy has a layout featuring a vintage photo of her grandma.
The wallet-sized picture of my grandma is a studio shot taken in her thirties. It has faded and yellowed with age. However being one of the very few I had of grandma taken before I was born, I wanted to scrap it.
I didn't want to photoshop it too much as there is a certain charm to such vintage photos. That meant coming up with a design to lend weight and focus to a relatively small photo. I used a Vintedge die-cut paper to frame a series of clockfaces. The photo is placed directly under the title, centered on the topmost clock.
Anyone looking to use up Avalon papers in their stash will be glad to know Vintedge works really well with it. Here I matt my layout with the tone-on-tone purple Noble paper from Avalon. And remember to check out our giveaway going on here.
