Happy Wednesday Ruby Rock-It fans!! Sarah here today with you featuring the amazing printed vellum :)
"Ahhh! Relaxation"
I wanted to use the vellum in a new and different way to show you guys today :) I thought about it for some time and finally came up with an idea!!! What if I MISTED the vellum to make them pretty colors?!?! Hmmm.... let's try!! I tried, and it worked!!
Here are some close ups of the misted hearts that I punched out of the different variety of printed vellum sheets.
I misted some of them yellow, one of them a pink color, and left the others plain to give my layout a little spunk.
These misted hearts were so easy to make!! Here's a short tutorial on how to make these:
1.) Punch out any shape you want using the printed vellum. Turn it over, because you will mist on the BACK SIDE of the shape.
2.) Mist your shape. The more pigmented the color of the ink the more the color will show. The longer you leave your mist on the shape the brighter the color on your vellum. Note: the mist will curl up your shape. That's OK! You can see that mine was starting to curl up as well.
3.) Once it has set a minute or so, go ahead and blot off the excess mist.
4.) Once blotted and dried, you may have to reshape your punched out shape. And voila! Easy embellishment!!
Make sure to head on over HERE to check out our May Monthly challenge, too!!
Thanks for stopping in today!! Come back to see more neat projects tomorrow :)
Hugs! Sarah
