Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals Designs was created by Fynmark in Australia in 2008. Already successful with other mainstream papercraft brands in the local market Creative Director Joanna wanted to create a new brand that focused on all the things she loved – vintage style papers and richly textured embellishments – and so Ruby Rock-it was born. “It’s an acknowledgement to my grandmothers who were a huge influence in my life growing up – their tea-cup patterns, their love of all things olde-worlde.”
Hello Ruby Rock-It fans! Our new home can be found here...

Hello Ruby Rock-It Fans! She is back, our amazing guest designer and former DT alum, Jodi Wilton!
She has been creating her heart out with our beautiful Bella! Year In Review!
***********
Hi everyone! To start off I am simply thrilled to be back guest designing for this wonderful company! Their products and elegant papers are always a dream to work with, and today I am going to share a few projects that I have been working on!
To start off with I wanted to share with you a layout I did about my daughter. I used Bella's Year in Review line to create this layout, and used a variety of patterned paper to document the story. Here is the layout:
For embellishments I used two heart punches of different sizes and layered them on top of each other. I only added adhesive down the middle of each heart to create a 3-D effect. For the title I included the gorgeous Glitter Cardstock Stickers. I love how these compliment the paper!
Next I decided to use some of the transparency overlays but used my heart punch again with them! I love pocket pages, but you can easily incorporate them into your layout by cutting them down or by using punches:
Finally for this layout I layered some cardstock stickers to create journaling space for the story I wanted to document:
For my second layout- Today: Brand Spanking New, I used the brilliant essence collection! I wanted to document my daughters family history but on layout (although I still have more to complete!) I think this is a fun way of preserving a little family history that your kids will cherish in the future!
I also cut down some pocket page cards to fit with the theme of the layout:
Finally, I created a congrats card for my cousin who is expecting shortly!
Thank you so much for letting me design with your stunning products this month! it has been a joy!
Please visit her and give her some Ruby Rock-It love...thank you, Jodi!

It's strange how change works. Everything can feel completely different while still feeling all the same. Instead of focusing on the big change in my life (moving countries), I focused on the changes inside my husband and I. The little, gradual changes that (I feel) make us better people, and help us grow. When I met my husband, he had long hair and I had brown hair, so there are also some changes that are particularly good.
It's always good to take a few minutes every now and then to reflect on how much you've grown and everything that has changed around and within you. It's good to be grateful for the things that have made you this way, and to be grateful that some of these things are over with.
Erin here with you today, with some cards that hopefully will inspire you! My daughters and I love to craft, and we especially like to make cards! Our RR Creative Team has been doing such a beautiful job with theirs, so here are how mine turned out...
For our stepper card, I decorated the base with our beautiful Bella! Year In Review papers and added touches of our vellum.
Then, I layered in our lovely Decoupage pieces and and added in some of our gorgeous Bella! Bling and trims! Fiskars is one of our swap partners for next month, and I couldn't resist using this darling set I received! The top left is their stamp!
For this next card, I used one of our Imprint cards and added in some beautiful yellow Ranger ink. Our vellum looks just gorgeous against this combo, so I layered in some on top.
And I then chose different Year In Review papers and used this darling Heart diecut set from Spellbinders! And yes, another sweet stamp from Fiskars for the sentiment. I added in some our our Bella! Flowers and bling!
And for my final card, I used a chipboard shape as the template to create this design on our imprint card. I cut a hole in the center, and added another heart diecut paper around the hole.
The inside of the card has the sentiment stamped...and I added in our sweet birds from our Decoupage pack, along with some of our Bella! Bling!
It's that time of year again when I head into the craft room and start creating thank you gifts for the teachers. When I was sent the Ruby Rock-It Heritage I just loved the colours of it. Beautiful and soft with a vintage feel to it which is something I am enjoying working with at the moment.
If you are anything like me you'll have what seems to be a million and one empty jam jars so I decided to decorate one of them so we could fill it with sweets for the teacher.
I cut strips of paper and then added them around the jar along with some lace trim to add some texture. The Bella! bling on the brown paper really finished it off.
I then had a lot of left overs so decided to make a card that would coordinate with the decorated jar.
As I only wanted a small card I used the packaging of the bling as I just love the scripted background. I needed to cover the back of the card so I used on of the die-cuts from the pad and trimmed off any excess.
The butterflies in this collection are brilliant embellishments and I even cut some from the papers to add to the card.
My littlest person is really looking forward to filling this with some treats for her teacher.
Hope you are inspired to get decorating your old jam jars!!
Thanks for stopping by!
In case you haven't heard, our new home can be found here...
Time really does fly doesn't it and I suppose this is why I take so many photos to remind me of all the fun I have had and the people that I have met. Scrapbooking makes my photos into more of a story and this is what I needed to do with a recent picture I took.
I trained as a nanny and this beauty was only 5 weeks old when I started looking after her. This photo is taken 21 years on celebrating her birthday ..... the Bella! 21st Birthday Mini Theme Collection was just perfect for this
and here is the layout I created using it
My dress changed between a purply-blue and pink so I couldn't resist using the Bella! Sugar Candy Glittered card stock for my background!
I used the die cuts in the range to help tell the story and also cut some of the greetings from the Birthday Wishes paper to add to the page.
And of course .... every girl needs some 'bling' so the Bella! Bling is perfect for this!
Hi everyone!! Pattie here! I have a video tutorial to share with you on how to create 3D stars. Here is a card that I shared earlier this month with a 3D star.
And here is a better look at the star.
You don't need a lot of tools to create this star. Here is what you will need:
A five pointed star cut from paper (you can use a die, a die-cut machine, cookie cutters or hand cut it)
a bone folder
a ruler
adhesive (I like Beacon's 3 in 1 or Helmar's adhesive)
So cut out a star (or two or three) and try this quick and easy tutorial!
Just in case that was a little fast for you, here is a mini step by step to help you along.
1. score your star from the tip of a point straight down to the valley between the two points beneath it.
2. repeat with the other 4 points until you have scored all 5 points in half.
3. fold and crease all of your score lines. You will notice that the star has started to look dimensional.
4. from the top of the star, fold and crease the score lines.
5. You now have a fun 3D star!!
You can glue this star onto your projects, string a bunch together for a garland for your next party, 4th of July BBQ or even for your Christmas tree, or even make some uber-cute princess/fairy wands!!
Hello and welcome to Monday! For this Monday Blues Inspiration post, I decided to take it literally with a blue Fusion layout coupled with the Year in Review collection.
