Hello there! It's Erin here with you today, and I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE this month's theme! A Hallmark holiday yes, but SO much fun nonetheless, don't you think?
So, in honor of Valentine's Day...and our craft/art studio that is being built, I decided to create a little something to sit on one of the shelves!
The cook range is so delicate, whimsical, and FULL of life in this delicious color palette! Love all these contrasts that blend so nicely together! Some of these colors will be in our room for sure! I just might frame some of these delicious papers, too!
A few years ago, I took a class from the amazing Carol Wingert, who created something similar to this, from being inspired by a tea bag! The base is a 6 in by 6 in cardboard adorned with our paper. The sides are triangles that have been folded around the base, 12 in by 6 in. Our Cook flowers, vellum, papers, and organza brads all work so well together here!
And how can I not use some of our bling? Here along the top, I curled strips of our vellum, and adhered some of our bling right along the top:)
The bottom are spools that are adorned with strips of our paper and twine!
Here's the supply list:
Thanks for stopping by and making Ruby Rock-it a part of your creative day!
Stay tuned, all month long for lovely inspiration from our team!

This is really cute Erin! Be sure to show us photos of your new studio!
