I'd like to introduce you to Pat Serrano, our March guest designer. I had the pleasure of meeting her at our recent Winter CHA Show.
Here is what she shared with us:
In January I was lucky enough to attend CHA.
While I was walking around checking out all the fabulous new goodies
I ended up doing a make and take at the Ruby Rocket booth and met the beautiful
Rachel Carlson as we sat there we talked about scrapbooking and crafting she was in the
process of looking for guest designers!!
I submitted some of my past work that very night. I was notified a few days later I was one of the lucky ones!
I was given the complete line of “August Moon” I loved this paper line as soon as I had it in my hand.
Here is my first creation. A one page layout. I love the look of this. I used four of the papers from the line using both sides I made a few pinwheels. I used lots of pearls to create half circles.
For my second creation I altered a wood frame from Michael’s. I used my cricut to cut out flowers and inked them. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies and of course I added som pearls and used a few scraps of ribbon from the collection.
And for my third creation…
I used this beautiful mini album. It is pretty much done for you.
So easy for a quick gift add photos and few embellishments.
I used the remaining pearls, scraps of ribbon and paper.
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
(This paper line yelled out butterflies and vintage to me).
I used my Tim Holtz pinwheel die. I love the simplicity of this mini album. I used a couple of the tags that came with this line to create my title base and tied them together. I love the tags that come with this line…they can be used for added detail. I used up the stickers I had left on these pages. Butterflies and pinwheels are every where on this book. I love it!!
I hope I have inspired you in some way!
I have enough scraps and paper to make a couple of cards..
Thanks for stopping by.
